FLOSS Roadmap 2020: Call for Contributions
The FLOSS roadmap 2020, now at its third edition, has now opened the call for contributions. I asked Jean-Pierre Laisne – Chief and Open Source Strategist at Bull, OW2 President and coordinator of the roadmap – to tell us more about the new edition.
This 3rd edition of 2020 FLOSS Roadmap aims at finding a path from information to action. For instance last year, we compared FLOSS to forests and FLOSS developers to foresters of sustainable forests. But these foresters are protected by rules and laws, they have access to specific scholarship and actually governments, United Nations and Europe have established norms and standards for sustainable forestry. Do we have such favorable environment for FLOSS? Do we need such environment for FLOSS sustainability? If yes, how do we get there?
