Open source software procurement processes in the field of Italian public administrations will be at the center of the upcoming open source conference “Public tenders and open source“, next Thursday 17 June in Rome at the IBM eGov solution center (disclosureaimer: IBM Italy is a client and is the sponsor of the event).

Luigi Miconi, manager at the Italian Authority for the Supervision of Public Contracts (AVCP), will open the round-table giving a speech about the Italian public procurement legislation.

Osvaldo Gervasi (Umbria Open Source Competence Center) will talk about Umbria’s IT procurement law and Umbria’s approach to open source adoption.

Mauro Batini, Open Source Solution Architect at Sistemi informativi, will close the panel talking about an open source software reuse experience.
