Determining the “Right” Development/Deployment Platform for Your Voice and Media Applications – Ever since the first Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) platform was deployed over 20 years ago, there has been an ongoing debate regarding the “best” way to develop and deploy applications. Even today, the debate goes on with options to choose from such as Customers Premise Equipment (CPE), Hosted Solutions or placing apps in the Cloud. Developers must also consider Open Source alternatives (Asterisk/FreeSWITCH) and more traditional “C” based proprietary APIs.
