I am not an OGG Theora’s fan Roy, and I believe that Richard and the Free Software Foundation should pay more attention to the role of Standards Setting Organizations.

I agree with you that asking for removal would be silly.
I expressed frustration because I had to enable a lot of JavaScript from many domains (i.e. be spied on) just to make the thing play. This stuff should be as simple as [video]whatever[/video] which Firefox 3.1 will make popular and widespread, using Ogg.

I understand your point Roy, but I am not that interested in just practical advantages. The way such “standards” are defined doesn’t respect Ken Krechmer’s criteria, and I am a firmly believer in the importance to be called an open standard.
