Open Source Books: Android, by Massimo Carli
Many books on Android are available today, but “Android – Guida per lo sviluppatore” (eng. developers’ guide) is the first Italian book covering the open source Java-based mobile platform developed by Google.
The author, Massimo Carli, prepares the reader to deal with this open source mobile platform in a step-by-step fashion, providing also easy to understand code examples.
The book many topics, includes:
- an introduction to the Android platform, architecture, and tools
- how to build applications
- details creating layouts and views
- Delve into security, development tools and debugging
The book is a complement to the existing Android documentation and it is a great introduction.
