During the first meeting of the Open Source Focus Group 2011, held in May at the ForumPA, I have been interviewed by the organizers to take stock of how Linux and Open Source are doing in the Italian public administrations. During the interview, I mentioned how SOS Open Source can eventually help organizations, both public and private, to start their open source journey.

The Innovatori PA 2010 barcamp, now at its second edition, will take place again at the ForumPA , on the 18th of May. The aim of this unconference is to exploit in real situations sustainable innovation in public services.
The Italian innovators group, a network of over 1600 individuals willing to innovate in the public sector, is the right place to share your ideas and projects before the event.

ForumPA, the greatest Italian event of and about Public Administration taking place in Rome from the 11th to the 14th of May 2009, will host a round-table to talk about “strategies to increase the use of open source for public administrations“.
I am honored to have been asked again by Gianni Dominici,Vice General Director of ForumPA, to chair the session. I helped organizers to invited speakers from Italian and international public administrations to share their real experiences and best practices.
No talk, just open source action!
The Italian association Concreta-mente for the second year will held the Open Source in Public Administrations conference, on the 1st of April 2009 in Rome, at the LUISS Guido Carli university.
Four different case studies of Italian public administrations using open source software and open standards will be presented. Carlo Mochi Sismondi, Forum PA General Manager, will moderate a round-table discussion with representatives from public and private sectors.
