Open Source Software Quality Tools: Coverity Prevent made Available to Academic Institutions

Coverity, a company specialized in software integrity products and testing services, announced the expansion of its academic program, now granting academic access to their static code analysis software Coverity Prevent, for both teaching and research use.

I contacted Coverity to know if their contribution goes towards software research within EC funded projects too.

Coverity is open to supporting any funded research that’s being done in the academic setting. So, if EC funded projects are being done in conjunction with universities as a result of partnerships, Coverity encourages those projects to submit themselves for the Program.

EC funded projects working on open source quality conducted in collaboration with universities can take advantage of the opportunity.
